Solutions to Your Dogs Bad Breath

I have a hearing dog named JoJo. She is smart, funny, playful, and sweet. She is the perfect dog, except for one obvious defect; JoJo has halitosis. I firmly believe there must be a solution to JoJo's bad breath.
In order to find the solution to your pet's mouth odor, you must first determine the cause. There may be specific reasons for your dog or cat's bad breath.
Odor-producing bacteria in your mouth dog's mouth, lungs, or stomach will cause halitosis; routine dental care will lessen it's effects. Your veterinarian can rule out any chronic illnesses, such as cancer, kidney or liver disease by doing diagnostic testing.
Most of the time, your canine or feline needs the tartar or plaque removed from his or her teeth and gum line. Professional teeth cleaning is the best solution to your pet's halitosis.
If diet is the prominent cause; then try changing your pet's food and or treats.
Be observant and steadfast regarding your pet's health. If you notice changes in behavior, or fruity, urine,or foul breath odors, seek immediate medical care. These may be the onset of diabetes, kidney, or liver disease.
These preventative steps will safeguard your pet's health and extend his or her life.
1) Bring your pet in for regular check-ups and monitoring.
2) Address any medical issues immediately.
3) Brush your dog's teeth daily with a pet recommended tooth paste.
4) Provide your dog with hard, safe, chew, toys that allow your pet's teeth to be cleaned by the natural cleaning process.
5) Always give well-researched treats to your dog.
